{"id":107285,"date":"2025-09-11T13:54:22","date_gmt":"2025-09-11T13:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/council.science\/?post_type=events&#038;p=107285"},"modified":"2025-09-11T14:16:59","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T14:16:59","slug":"4th-un-open-science-open-scholarship-conference","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/council.science\/events\/4th-un-open-science-open-scholarship-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"4th UN open science &amp; open scholarship conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Following the historic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/search\/results\/all\/?keywords=%23pactforthefuture&amp;origin=HASH_TAG_FROM_FEED\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hashtag#PactForTheFuture<\/a> adopted by all 193 UN Member States in September 2024, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/library\/os25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">4th UN Open Science &amp; Open Scholarship Conference<\/a> will accelerate transformations in global access to science and scholarship by directly addressing Actions 28-33 on science, technology, innovation, and digital cooperation. The conference will be held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/unu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">United Nations University<\/a> in Tokyo, Japan and online from 16 to 18 October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite various challenges faced, including funding constraints, the organizing team remained committed to delivering a world-class hybrid conference that ensures no country or community is left behind in participating in this critical scientific dialogue we&#8217;ve fostered since 2018.
