She worked as Research Fellow and Honorary Senior Registrar in Virology at St George\u2019s Hospital Medical School in London, UK, from 1989 \u2013 1993.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She took up Science administration with her appointment as the Chairperson of the NSF-Sri Lanka in 2004 where she served till 2013, and was reappointed to that post in June 2015.
