Vilches<\/a>, International Consortium of Research Staff Associations (ICoRSA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Further information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the 2017 joint meeting of the ISSC and ICSU in Taipei in preparation for the merger of the two organizations in 2018, it was decided that the dues of founding ISC Members would remain the same until a new dues structure was adopted, and that a new, unified dues structure should be developed under the leadership of the first ISC Governing Board, for adoption in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An ad hoc Dues Committee was tasked in 2019 with developing a proposal for a unified dues structure for the ISC. The committee produced a <a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/ISC.GA-2_DOC.8.1_Dues-Committee-Progress-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a><em> <\/em>containing sound analysis and viable options but concluded that a new dues structure should not be developed in isolation from strategic considerations around membership matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the adoption of revised <a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/ISC_Statutes_RulesProcedure_8march2024.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Statutes and Rules of Procedure<\/a> in March 2024, which dealt with some of the outstanding membership issues, the time is ripe to revise the dues structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dues Committee will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review the findings of the Ad hoc Dues Committee of 2019\u20132021 and, as appropriate and in consultation with the membership, adapt them or develop a new approach to the revision of dues and related policies in the context of the revised Statutes and Rules of Procedure and perennial or emerging issues relating to dues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offer concrete proposals for a single, fair and sustainable dues structure, as well as an associated dues scale and related policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Working Group may invite expert input from outside the group, as appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See the <a href=\"https:\/\/intsciencecouncil.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/Shared\/Ea76Lc-alLhCgzbIHvDbXykBCckWoHrhX1OtI55E7EHgog?e=CVFHYo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Terms of Reference<\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Timeline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Working Group convenes for the first time in mid-October 2024 to prepare interim proposals at the ISC\u2019s General Assembly in January 2025 as part of the consultative process with Members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim is for a new dues structure could be adopted by the membership (via electronic vote) in 2025, for introduction in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For any queries, please contact Sarah Moore <a href=\"mailto:sarah.moore@council.science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sarah.moore@council.science<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The working group is leading the revision of the ISC dues structure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":26,"featured_media":27865,"parent":608,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-27869","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.0 -
