{"id":67214,"date":"2023-09-14T09:03:46","date_gmt":"2023-09-14T09:03:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/council.science\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=67214"},"modified":"2025-07-07T22:09:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-07T22:09:07","slug":"morgan-seag","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/council.science\/profile\/morgan-seag\/","title":{"rendered":"Morgan Seag"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As the ISC Senior Representative to the UN System, Morgan works with New York-based intergovernmental organizations and countries\u2019 UN Missions to advance the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/our-work\/un-global-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ISC\u2019s work at the global science-policy interface<\/strong><\/a>, helping to enhance evidence-informed decision-making on critical global issues.<a id=\"_msocom_1\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morgan leads and\/or coordinates the implementation of ISC activities in New York as part of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/our-work\/un-global-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISC Global Science Policy Unit<\/a><\/strong>. In addition to representing the ISC at UN meetings and strengthening relationships with New York-based organizations and Member States, Morgan facilitates responses to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/publications\/policy-brief-global-sea-level-rise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ad hoc requests for scientific input and advice<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by UN actors; serves as the ISC\u2019s focal point for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/what-we-do\/group-of-friends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Group of Friends on Science for Action<\/strong><\/a>, for which the ISC serves as secretariat jointly with UNESCO; and leads the ISC\u2019s work around UN High-level Week.
