The event featured a presentation by the Centre for Science Futures on the <a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/blog\/official-launch-of-the-idrc-and-isc-project-to-explore-ais-impact-on-science-systems-in-the-global-south\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Science Systems Futures project<\/a>, followed by three case studies from experts and concluded with an open discussion. The number of tertiary education offerings for AI have increased in Australia and are complemented by an initiative to attract and train job ready AI specialists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While active programs to enhance diversity in Australia\u203as STEM workforce exist, they are not specifically tailored to address AI. Additionally, there is a recognized need to enhance ethical competence and raise awareness of human rights in AI-related scientific endeavours.
