{"id":93718,"date":"2024-11-04T02:19:52","date_gmt":"2024-11-04T02:19:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/council.science\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=93718"},"modified":"2025-06-26T07:40:34","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T07:40:34","slug":"kunzang-choden","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/council.science\/profile\/kunzang-choden\/","title":{"rendered":"Kunzang Choden"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kunzang is the <a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/our-work\/asia-science-mission\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Asia Program<\/a> Manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/about-us\/our-regions\/asia-pacific\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISC Regional Focal Point for Asia and the Pacific<\/a> involved in assisting with the planning and implementation of activities and programs specifically focusing on the priorities of ISC Asian member organizations.<br>It includes managing, and coordinating researchers, funding agencies and policy-makers in Asia to deliver the Asia Mission Science Hub, leading and managing time-bound programs and activities, and organizing and coordinating meetings, workshops, and symposia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kunzang has a Msc in Environmental Studies from University of Tokyo, Japan and a PhD in Science (climate vulnerability assessment in forest based social-ecological system) from University of Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining the Australian Academy of Science, Kunzang worked as the Chief Program Manager for a multi-donor funded project called \u201cBhutan for Life\u201d, which is the first project finance for permanence in Asia.
