She has published extensively on the circulation of scientific knowledge between Europe and China since the 17th century. Her research shows how the circulation of scientific knowledge across linguistic and cultural borders fosters its development. She has served as Secretary General of IUHPST, and was the founding Chair of the Standing Committee for Gender Equality in Science (SCGES).
