{"id":97743,"date":"2025-02-17T09:37:40","date_gmt":"2025-02-17T09:37:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/council.science\/?post_type=events&#038;p=97743"},"modified":"2025-05-06T13:11:20","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T13:11:20","slug":"ai-in-national-research-ecosystems","status":"publish","type":"events","link":"https:\/\/council.science\/events\/ai-in-national-research-ecosystems\/","title":{"rendered":"AI in national research ecosystems: progress, challenges and lessons learned"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The ISC Centre for Science Futures published a significant report \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/council.science\/publications\/ai-science-systems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Preparing National Research Ecosystems for AI: Strategies and progress in 2024\u2019<\/a>, which includes a thorough review of existing policy reports and documents on AI in science, accompanied by <strong>18 country-specific case studies<\/strong>. These case studies highlighted key developments in AI and its implications for research and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The case studies investigate the role of science institutions and universities in shaping AI policies and priorities, alongside an assessment of the opportunities and challenges AI presents to science.
