Dr. Xu is on the Steering Group of the Forum on Publishing and Research Assessment.
After graduating in the UK, Dr. Xu started her career in CAS, and has long been committed to the theoretical and methodological research of research evaluation, and emphasizes the integration of theory and practice to drive positive policy-level impact. She has published over 50 academic papers in prestigious journals and has completed numerous consulting reports to support decision-making. In recent years, Dr. Xu has been deeply involved in the governance of international research assessment reform. As the Chinese representative in the global research evaluation reform initiative, Dr. Xu currently also serves as Steering Committee member of DORA, member of INORMS-REG. She has also been invited by UNESCO, ISC, and GYA to deliver keynote speeches at high-level international conferences, including the WSF2024. In these forums, she actively shares China’s practices and experiences in research evaluation reform, contributing to the global discourse on this critical issue.
