The ISC Regional Focal Point for Latin America and the Caribbean (RFP-LAC) works with ISC Members to strengthen scientific capacity and promote inclusion and diversity in science and technology across the region.
As a consultative body and the regional voice of science, the RFP LAC promotes research and fosters collaboration among scientists in Latin America and the Caribbean and beyond.
By supporting and promoting the integration of regional expertise into the ISC network, the RFP LAC helps ensure that ISC activities benefit Latin America and the Caribbean.
Since 2021, the RFP LAC has been hosted by the Academia Colombiana de Ciencias Exactas, Fisicas y Naturales.
Background
The RFP collaborates with ISC Members, civil society, governments, international organizations, and the private sector to identify regional priorities and opportunities in key scientific and policy areas.
