Prof. Roseanne Diab is Emeritus Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. Recently, she served as Director of the global initiative, GenderInSITE, which is based in Trieste, Italy and chaired the Gender Advisory Committee of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). She is the former Executive Officer of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) and is a current Council member. She is a Member of ASSAf and is recognised for her research contributions and invited presentations in the fields of atmospheric sciences, particularly air quality and climate change, and gender equality and STEM. She is a Fellow of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, the South African Geographical Society, TWAS, the African Academy of Sciences and the International Science Council (ISC).
