Prof. Rijcke is on the Advisory Council of the ISC’s think tank Centre for Science Futures and the Steering Group of the Forum on Publishing and Research Assessment.
Sarah de Rijcke is Professor of Science, Technology and Innovation Studies at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University, the Netherlands. Sarah‚Äôs work examines the interactions between science governance and knowledge creation. Her research has consistenly attracted prestigious international personal grants and major consortium funding. She has a strong global academic presence with outreach activities in science policy, speaking frequently on the topics of research evaluation and open science. De Rijcke recurrently acts as expert advisor in European and global science policy initiatives. She was member of the high-level Expert Group that wrote the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science. She also chaired the ISC-IAP-GYA Scoping Group that wrote The future of research evaluation report. De Rijcke is member of a number of scientific advisory boards, including from PLOS, the UNESCO Netherlands Committee, and the ICS’s Centre for Science Futures.
