Yensi is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow. Her research focuses on AI-driven computational protein design, creating proteins beyond nature with applications in health and sustainability.

Alongside her scientific work, she champions open science (OS) and inclusive research culture. She advances this mission as Co-Chair of the Global Young Academy and as its representative on the UN Secretary-General’s Scientific Advisory Board, ensuring early-career researchers are included in global debates. Through the ISC Steering Group for the Forum on Publishing and Research Assessment and her past role on the inaugural Steering Board of CoARA, she promotes more inclusive and responsible research assessment. She has also co-authored global studies on promotion policies, authorship, and accountability, and contributes to policy forums such as the UN High-Level Political Forum, and the OECD Global Science Forum.
