Prof. Shaliza Ibrahim is on the Steering Group of the Forum on Publishing and Research Assessment.
Shaliza Ibrahim is AAIBE Chair of Renewable Energy at the Institute of Sustainable Energy, UNITEN where she oversees research on Bioenergy. Her career previously spanned 36 years at Universiti Malaya, retiring in 2023 as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation). A graduate of Chemical Engineering, her area of expertise is multiphase mixing and hydrodynamics in stirred tank reactors, and the biological conversion of organic wastewater to hydrogen gas. In addition to academic pursuits, Shaliza actively contributes to the advancement of research management in Malaysia. She was founding president of the Malaysia Association of Research Managers and Administrators (MyRMA). She is currently leading projects on research impact measurement, full economic costing of research, and ERASMUS Open Asia. She is Co-Chair of the Malaysia Open Science Alliance, and focal point for UNESCO 2021 Open Science Recommendation.
