Ocean Biodiversity Information System (OBIS) – Living data 2025

As the first global conference dedicated to biodiversity data, Living Data 2025 (21–24 October, Bogotá & online) will bring together scientists, data managers, policymakers, and communities from around the world to discuss the future of biodiversity information, from local to global levels. OBIS and its community will play a central role in the programme, leading or co-organizing a vast range of sessions covering crucial topics such as data standards, models and DNA-derived technologies, community engagement, regional cooperation, and the use of marine biodiversity data to support global decision-making.

The conference will be conducted in Spanish and English only, but other options will be explored for interpretation services using new technologies to enhance the conference experience.

Come share your knowledge and experience, help transform the understanding of the state and trends of biodiversity, and learn how together this work contributes towards conserving the living world.
