Call for contributions, nominations and climate experts: COP30, Brazil | deadline: 20 October

COP 30 will be a key moment to advance international climate negotiations, given the urgency to meet the Paris Agreement goals. Countries are submitting updated Nationally Determined Contributions, as set out in the Paris Agreement. Crucial discussions – including on climate finance, traditional and indigenous peoples and communities, climate governance, and global mobilization – are expected to continue at the conference. 

The International Science Council (ISC), its Members and partners will be involved in several official COP30 side-events and parallel meetings. 

Share your resources

As every year, the ISC is curating a webpage gathering resources from the ISC community and highlighting reports, papers and events (including side-events at COP30) to share with the broader public. 

Feature in the COP30 expert book

This year we are also compiling an expert book (similar to the UNOC-3 expert book that we put together for the 2025 UN Ocean Conference), listing active scientists in the ISC Members’ network engaged in climate change-related research, representing a wide range of backgrounds and areas of expertise. The book will be distributed to policy-makers, media and other scientists, providing a unique opportunity to engage with key stakeholders around climate change. Experts can apply below to be listed in the book, even if they are not attending COP30.
